Domestic Students seeking Insurance:

The health insurance marketplaces established by the Affordable Care Act (ACA) opened on October 1, 2013. These exchanges are intended to provide consumers with a new way to shop for, compare costs and coverage benefits, and enroll in insurance coverage. See option 3 below. 

International Students seeking Insurance:

*** Beginning Spring 2024 the process for international insurance has changed. International students will have 3 options for health care coverage.***

Students will be enrolled in a NMSU Canvas course through International Students & Scholar Services that will provide information about your options. Students will be required to select and purchase their coverage and upload proof of coverage in the NMSU Canvas course.
